Who’s Still Here?: Ten Books Waiting on My TBR Shelf

It’s been a minute since I’ve participated in Top Ten Tuesday—so first, hey all! This week’s topic is all about books I’ve listed on previous seasonal TBR posts that I still haven’t read. However, I’m not great at seasonal planning. I hardly ever know what I’m going to read next until I’m already holding the book.

Instead, today I’m looking back at my Goodreads TBR list and pulling the ten books that have been sitting there the longest—all those (I’m sure) amazing books I had big plans to read … and just never did.

  1. First, I want to say it is good to hear from you again, Christopher. I hope life is treating you well. You have a lot of Non-Fiction on this list. The Yellowstone book really appeals to me having spent a few days there with my family years ago.

    1. It’s great to be back and checking in with some familiar faces. Things are going great right now—the start of the year just got a lot a little away from me. Hope you’ve been great, Carla! I’m really looking forward to finally getting around to the Yellowstone book. I found it in a small bookshop ages ago and it looks fascinating.

I hope you like these books if you decide to read them. I enjoy nonfiction, too.

    1. I didn’t realize this list was going to be so nonfiction heavy because fiction usually makes up the bulk of my reading. But you can never go wrong with a good nonfiction read.

  3. I hope you get to these soon. I haven’t read any of them to say if they’re good or bad.

  4. Welcome back! I’ve been wondering what happened but glad you made it again.

And yes, we all have those books that don’t seem to leave our TBR piles. And we add more ….

    My TTT this week.

    1. Thank you so much, Marianne! The start of this year got a little away from me. But things are finally evening out.

And too true. I finally weeded my Goodreads TBR pile down … to over 400 books and counting. One day we’ll get through them all … hopefully.

    1. It’s great to see you, Jonetta! I keep repeating myself, but the start of this year got away from me. So glad to be back though. Though I saw your message—sorry you’re dealing with the spam issue. The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. VERY annoying.

  6. Life has a way of doing that sometimes. It can be for days, weeks, or months, but it just happens. Clearly, you have been missed! I’m glad you are back and that means things are getting sorted out–always a welcome thing! Interesting list and I know it could be MUCH longer!😉
