It’s a colorful Top Ten Tuesday. This week, the theme is all about the Carnival celebration Mardi Gras and one of its most identifiable features—and no, I’m not talking about the beads or King Cakes. Rather, it’s those big, bright colors. While their exact history and meaning are often disputed, there’s no doubt that green, purple, and gold have become synonymous with the celebration. So today I’m highlighting ten gorgeous book covers that feature that easily identifiable Mardi Gras palette.

Yes! Same here. I’m all about a bold yellow cover. It’s one of my favorites for book covers because they always pop.

I recognize several of these, good choices Christopher. I found purple covers hard to find.

Pure purple covers were surprisingly hard to find this week for me, too—I probably moved a couple of shades lighter and darker to get by.
