Amy Miller’s They Call Me the Cat Lady

It’s a feature hosted by Tressa over at Wishful Endings, so be sure to check out her weekly post to find other participants. Fair warning: you’re sure to walk away with an expanded TBR pile.

Today I’m waiting for…

I love a book that manages to sneak up on me.

I wasn’t aware of author Amy Miller’s newest book until a few days ago, but the blurb and first few page immediately hooked me. Nancy Jones is known as the local cat lady, and it’s not always meant kindly— though she has a habit of rescuing felines who need a bit of care, humans find her distant. But Nancy has secrets and they’re about to come tumbling out, even if doing so might require letting others in.

Stories featuring cats are always a must-read for me. Plus, I’m drawn to books about characters who have to approach their past in order to grow in the present. Add both of these elements into one book and I cannot wait to read it.
